New Video Card?

Hi Dan

Due to recent launch of the new Mac Pro machines and unavailability of the new set of graphics cards, very little has been done in the way of testing. Lead times are still 5-7 weeks from Apple.

I would hold fire until Richard has been able to get hold of the new cards to test and give us some pointers.

Also beware of Leopard still - performance with Catalyst is terrible!

about half the number of layers as tiger.
across all codecs. on the same machine-
seems to be an issue with quicktime in all versions.

bugs have been reported to apple - no response yet.
