    6 movies on g5 with scsi is not going to happen.

    photojpeg 85% not good either for playback - fine for content creation on PC. convert to AIC on mac.

    hang on, AIC it's not pre installed that's why I didn't suggest it.

    am I correct ?

    You are correct....in order to be able to use AIC you need to have something like iMove HD (included in iLife 08) to have that codec.
