Ask the video creator to make you 1024x768 25 frame per second using photo jpeg 85% .

I promise the quality will be allright. and performances too .

don't worry at all about file size in term of space . you have gigas

6 movies on g5 with scsi is not going to happen.

photojpeg 85% not good either for playback - fine for content creation on PC. convert to AIC on mac.

hang on, AIC it's not pre installed that's why I didn't suggest it.

You are correct....in order to be able to use AIC you need to have something like iMove HD (included in iLife 08) to have that codec.
