Hi can you add SDI output support for Decklink SDI card?
Hello
Most of the graphics processing is done and outputted ( sorry, that is bad grammar!) by the Mac's graphics card. It is not possible to route this output through the Decklink card, it has to come out from the graphics card itself. The Decklink does not perform any other function apart from Video and sometimes Audio input.
If you need SDI output, you will need a scan convertor or another kind of convertor to take the DVI signal from the graphics card and do the conversion.
There are many convertors on the market, from high end units such as the Image PRO and TVOne units, down to the Matrox MXO's.

I rule I've discovered with DVI to SDI is to use anything but Gefen. I've had so much Gefen gear crash and not work correctly.
For what you're doing, keep it simple. There are some cheap solutions from AJA which work just fine. Use these unless you need to scan convert, over or underscan. Then go for a better one.
