Anyone used serial triggers to control Christie Rodster S+ Series. Got 2 20k's with all settings matching between projector and Catalyst, checked cables etc but not getting anything.
Anyone got a set of serial strings that work?

check your serial cables first of all- always.
there is no 'standard' connector sex or whatever- or pinouts that should be connected for rs232-
sometimes tx is labelled as rx, sometimes vice versa. sometimes with respect to 'modem' device, sometimes with respect to 'computer'.
the manufacturers of rs232 devices never even managed to use a consistent connector sex to indicate the usage of the serial port either.
is there any other way to control this projector? www? ethernet?
figured it out with a little help from a friend (thank you Hugh), but thank you all the same. For anyone who is interested:
Power off = "(1 pwr 0)"
Power on = "(1 pwr 1)"
Shutter open = "(1 shu 0)"
Shutter close = "(1 shu 1)"
The first number being projectors address and only needed if daisy chaining.
Interestingly they can be controlled by Artnet, however never tried it because had a CIB on the job!
