Thread: New MacG5 Intel based? Will it work?

  1. #1

Question New MacG5 Intel based? Will it work?

Will the current release of intel based macs run pixelmad? If so, which video card is suggested. There are a few Nvidia gforce 7300 cards that can be configured with different ram options. Which ones are suggested. Also will the current OS be ok with it?

Also, anyone going to test pmad or catalyst on the new xserve since it has a pci-e slot on it.

there is only 1 graphics card currently available. the 7300. the others are on extended delivery times.

pmad and catalyst seem to work fine on my machine - as i have only had it for a week. i cant say much more.

the xserves are not available even to pre-order - until - we are told - october.

I'm having a little trouble with my new MacBook Pro. I installed the dongle driver and downloaded the latest f56 of Pixelmad, but I get the startup screen and then nothing. Spinning beach ball and none of the Pixelmad windows initiallize at all.
MacBook Pro: 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo

I hope I'm missing something easy.

I went back a bit and f51 will start properly on the MacBook Pro. Could not get f54 or f55 to start.
