    As per information, Marathon Computer is now out of buisness

    I found at Redco Audio a similar Rackmount kit for the G5...

    I should receive one of these this week, I'll see if it strong enough for a touring setup!

    the screws on the picture dont look that strong.

    i once had to take apart a marathon rack kit, to replace a power supply - they werent really designed to be taken apart....

    Unless this is for a permanent install, the Redco case does not have any shock proofing, unless the case you're putting in it in does (has the racking suspended inside the case).

    I installed the Redco bracket in a floating rack. As been shipped by plane a couple time (Touring people knows how bad it could be for the stuff) and it still holds in place verry well. I just added some hard foam to make sure the G5 doesnt suffer from big shocks.
