playing image and difficoult to have costant 25.0 fps

you must not use any mpeg4 files.

they take over all the computers processing, and dont leave any time for anything else.
fine for internet streaming - not fine for media servers.

you must use photojpeg 50% to 60% for these image sizes.

Hi Richard.
I have upgraded Panther 10.3.9 MAC OSx to Tiger 10.4.6 MAC OSX
and use Catalyst V4 4.05 m48.
Now the situation is much better
Note i use at moment compression in SORENSON VIDEO 2.
In this way i can leave native dimentions (1024x576) with
very interesting resolution and no bigger files.
The catalyst now work correctly at 25.0 fps with multiple file
simultanously with 1xSCSI HARD DRIVE only.
no so bad

whats wrong with photojpeg?
it supports this size too.

with codecs its much easier to make something that works badly- than something which works well.
file size is not the critical factor with this application.

sorenson uses keyframes - it is designed for internet and streaming applications - which means that playback wont loop correctly - or work with random access?
sorenson is not tested or recommended.

catalyst always did work correctly at 25fps with multiple files.
mpeg4 is never ever recommended for doing anything with catalyst.
