Assignments are made to multiple audio channels in the new 'properties' dialog in quicktime player.

    making a surround sound movie...

    from quicktime users mailing list.
Dirt-simple way (just to play around): "add many tracks into a movie and then mess around with speaker assignments"

Yes, but with Isadora under 10.4 in a Protools setup and in a Metric Halo Mobile I/O, works fine, can stripe midi timecode now haha.

Have not done it with SAMSC yet.

In the quicktime forum we posted several bug reports to Apple, but this is no bug, they just "forgot" it from 10.2 on....Otherwise I could get SOME reply from Apple the last 3 years?
But I heard rumours that under 10.4 and the new writing of QT7 the midi output to a external device would work again...
This way you can store different types of info into a QT file (midi, audio, video) and scroll while your midi commands are rock-solid!

I made the midi track always in a sequencer with a movie as lead, and exported the midifile and imported it again in a movie in Quicktime Pro.
    Worked untill QT Pro 5.

Did you try multichannel audio yet?
Not yet, tommorow I finish the last tourdate, so this upcoming week I want to test it.
