In V4 if you loaded a file from a CD-ROM SAM would ask you for the loaction you want it to be saved after SAM converted the audio file for you... I guess that went away with OSX?

All CD support removed.
Technology moved on.
Playing back audio files directly is much easier and convenient than in was in 1995
