    Well not the client, but the rental shop that was supplying the edjes.
    They were also responsible for the playback.
    I delivered the video that my girlfriend made (she does motion graphics and video).
    Four movies on 4 plasma's, with stuff going from screen to screen. One very wide After Effects comp, haha. 10 hrs render per movie on dual 1.8

    Tim is doing a show with these things soon, and he wants me to add support for them - so im just checking all these things.

    you were doing a widescreen playback type thing then?

    4:3 with bars. I still remember the video guy wrestling with the zoom function of the plasma's...
    I can try stuff out with these boxes if you want, i'm friendly with the video company and i still want to try out the serial control of them anyway.
    And they want to have an inexpensive way to control them with DMX.

    you can control them using ethernet. thats what i was interested in.

    What kindof dmx control would your client want?

    You're a programmer, i'm a hobbyist
    i know how to do serial with RealBasic, did some lanbox stuff.
    These guys would like to have a small, cheap microcontroller box that uses one dmx channel for play/pause, one for selection, etc.

    i can give you their phone number hugh, maybe you can sell them a Catalyst system...

    thats a cheap little embedded solution which takes a single dmx channel

    Spec at least one 1015

    When using several machines on a large or important project always make sure one edje unit has the DVD drive (1015).. this helps with file managment..
