    Digidesign MBox support?

    Hello Ricard

    How can i play a sound file 44.1 stereo on a digidesign mbox i can see in the audio play back my mbox outputs ch1 ch2 but i can't select them the are gray????

    Can you send me some information from the console log.
    Open the 'console' application - its an apple program, and copy the information i output when samsc opens.
    It gives me a very detailed description of what the mBox is.

    The problem is that each and every rotten audio interface does something slightly different, and that i actually need to test quite a few to find out what the differences are.
    This information will help me.

    the mbox seems very expensive- thought about buying one to test.

    yes please. digidesign does something different with their audio channel assignments.
    they didnt use interleaved audio on the digi002 i borrowed.

    i dont know the channel layouts.

    Thats a lot of help.

    digidesign seems to configure their devices as single channel devices, rather than stereo pairs.

    As i play stereo pairs at the moment. i have to write more code to support this........

    its the same.

    they split the stereo output into two single channels - as far as the device driver is concerned - when i get time - ill see if i can make this work.
