DMX not enabled for fixture 1

i must have missed this because on the last major show i did, fixture 1 was a dummy fixture.

I have found a similar scenario today. However, I found that fixture one will work, in this case a Pixeline, but only if addressed to 55. Channels 1-54 were unusable.
