A problem has come to light with using 60Hz screen resolutions.
Seems to affect systems 10.3.5 onwards.
ATI seems to have changed a low level graphics card setting, and not told anyone.
This performance setting now has to be enabled directly in the ATI displays application.
Software doesnt work well with displays at 60HZ unless you turn on the opengl override shown in the pdf below
The ATI settings panel has to be downloaded and installed.
