Yes folks it will break your Catalyst server!!! Do not do the upgrade on any active servers!

I am having to do a complete re-install of the OS to continue using Cat 3.2 f28. Luckily I only have 3 servers and 2 sets of install disks.

I got all of my servers back up and running today within an hour and a half. Not a big deal. I just downloaded the Combined 10.3.3 update and the QuickTime 6.5.1 update from Apple's support site. I loaded these onto my iPod and loaded the rest from a Restore DVD. Quite a simple procedure.

    so you reinstalled 10.3?
Then updated with the combo installer for 10.3.3

That's correct. You have to remember that the QuickTime update is seperate. So you also have to use the QT 6.5.1 updater as well. Both packages are available for download at Apple's website.

The process I used was re-installing from the 10.3.2 DVD I carry with me everywhere, then using the OS 10.3.3 Upodate package, and then using the QT 6.5.1 Update package. This was very fast and did the trick. All servers were up and running quickly.

ati broke something very similiar in their drivers around 10.3.2

i was tracking the seeds and was in contact with an ati engineer trying to get the bug fixed.
i just about got it fixed in time.
i wasnt tracking 10.3.4 i was on the road.
i didnt expect it to get broken again - but these things happen.

to try and increase performance - i use newer features - these newer features arent quite stable - i hold off until i think they are stable - sometimes not long enough.
