    Using Sorenson Codec in Catalyst?

    Can use create content using the Sorenson Codec? or will it mess up the play back?

    dont use sorenson - it uses interframe compression.
    And there is absolutely no reason for anyone to ever have to use it.

    You dont use mpeg 1 or mpeg 2 for the same reasons.
    You cant do random frame access.

    Sorenson Codec

    Thanks Richard, I had used the Sorenson codec when I was rendering Armatic Pro movies to be used as potential content for Catalyst owners. I was embarrassed to ask about it, but I am glad I did.

    dont worry.

    people make these mistakes.

    sorenson stuff is designed and developed for distributing web or cd-rom type content.

    we dont have the same design requirements.
