    QT HAP codec

    Hi,
someone has tried to work with the codecs HAP and HAP Alpha for QT?

  2. What are the benefits? We have a very good range of codecs in the Apple ProRes which work very well with Catalyst.

    Why should we change?

I didn't ask to change... I just asked to know...

I believe it will playback but it doesn't hold any benefit over ProRes. Transcode HAP alpha to ProRes 4444 to keep alpha channel.

    offtop:
I ask somewhere - please give me the name of transcoder that can transcode jpeg, png, h264 with alpha to proress with batch list. I try a few but all broke alpha channel.

Hi HAP working very good, I used with 561 bundle, video card loaded less but video file size bigger than ProRes on 25-30%. Also HAP codec very convenient when video produced on PC.
