Blackmagic Intensity card for HDMI Input

    So,
It actually works pretty well, but whenever the input is enabled, all the other content starts dropping frames like crazy.
Is this a computer problem, or is this just how the intensity card affects catalyst?

It is a older Mac pro, running 10.6.8, with a solid state drive.

But it seems kinda odd that it only drops frames when the input is enabled?
Anybody have any suggestions? Either for a different input device, or if I just need to bite the bullet and update the computer to something more recent?

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

  2. hi Joshua

What version of the BM Desktop Video are you using? I know there were issues with cards in computers running 10.6.8 when using Desktop Video 10 and later. Try downgrading to v9

    Thanks Nev,
I ended up giving up, and buying a more current machine, which has its own issues of course.. but its a work in progress.
