    Controlling Catalyst remotely

I have been researching controlling my Catalyst remotely, and have found a thread about ARD being the best way to do that. This thread was from 2007, so I just want to see if this is still the best way to have full control remotely.

    Thanks

ARD is very good for configuring the server remotely, but make sure it is turned off at show time - ARD causes very back playback performance when the screen is being viewed remotely.

It's good practice to turn off all file and screen sharing when in 'Show Mode'

Many people use Remote KVM's to control machines remotely now, especially useful are boxes like the AdderLink INFINITY ALIF2002 which allow two DVI video signals and KVM commands to go over fibre.

    regards
