    PCI Express SSD

    Hi,

Has anyone had any experience or testing with these yet?

I haven't used those one exactly but I have tried the ones from OWC. I know technically speaking a PCI SSD should out-perform and regular SSD, but I really didn't notice much of a performance jump, especially for the price.

Possible reason for this is that most affordable pci based ssd still have a sata controller in the way... its essentially the same as installing another sata card in a pci slot and plugging in another normal sata ssd. Performance of true pci based ssd are in a completely different class of performance.

I´m using Sonnet Tempo SSD Pro Plus with 2 SSD in a Raid 0 on it.
    Very good performance...
Not real PCI-SSD, but still a good way if you need to add fast & expandable system
