Thread: How do I send MIDI notes?

How do I send MIDI notes?

I'm attempting to sync three systems via MIDI. However, MIDI I/O isn't available on my lighting console, so I'd like to use DMX to trigger a cue on Catalyst (using the DMXPreset=100) to send a MIDI note to the other two systems.

I've successfully gotten MSC working in this manner, but that doesn't work on one system, so I need to use a note on instead. Is this possible?

I've got a MIDI note output device in my devices list, and I can click the onscreen buttons and get notes. (I think, the lights on my midi widget are blinking, I don't have the other system in front of me right now)

I was able to click and drag the MSC commands to my cue list, but I can't do the same with the MIDI controller.

    Help please.

try pressing CTRL or alt or shift then dragging the device button
Some devices need an extra keypress when dragging in to a cuelist...
