    Video Input / Camera problem

    Hi folks,

I'm advising on a show but it's over skype so I don't have first hand knowledge. However maybe you folks can spot what's happening... I think it's at the camera end rather than the Cat end, but any advice welcome!

Essentially the show uses two video inputs via an LFG4 card, and to reduce lag they've bought new cameras - CCTV style. The spec is at the end of the post.

    The problem is:
    - they focus the cameras and it looks good on a preview monitor (which I'm told is split at the camera end)
    - but the Catalyst input window shows the image moved up in frame, cropped off at the top but black below. resizing the image on a layer doesn't reveal the missing picture above.

This is a silly graphic I knocked up to visualise the problem:

    And the video input prefs:
    - LFG Direct API is enabled
    - we've tried both LFG PAL 768x288 and 192x144 - it's the same each time.

It's an old show on an old version of Catalyst: 4.10 m_107UB

I don't know if it's something to do with the pixel count of the cameras, or perhaps signal strength - my contact in the theatre said at one point that it looked like it was slowly moving in frame, so maybe it's a very slow rolling?

Here's the camera spec - thanks for any advice.

    Tim

Skype and Facetime... I know that one well. In my case, it's the frequent way to look at the air gap (haha) and recommend they plug it in
