    Blurring the edges

    Hi

Does anyone know how to and if it's possible to blur the edges of a a layer? I'm projecting on to long thin paper (1mX10m) and need to blur the edges on some video's and jpegs.

    Cheers

    TT

The normal way is to put a vignette on the highest layer (PNG or TIFF with a transpancy built in) then just put your content underneath.
Much easier and neater than having to do a vfx on each layer.

there is also a 'soft edge crop' visual effect built in, which may be useful

    - unless you are already using a visual effect on that layer - in which case - use the method above...

You can also do this by using the blend function of a mix window if appropriate.
