    Hacking PC nVidia cards

There is quite a lot of information out there on how to hack pc nvidia cards -

but its not quite in one place - and i never tried this myself:

  2. There seem to be two trains of thought - those who are hacking the EFI to allow non Apple 'approved' hardware and those who are hacking the hardware to make an Apple compatible product.

I have been reading up on the group who are hacking the ROM's of non Apple GXT285 cards and putting in the EVGA ROM in place. This involves finding the right card to hack, desoldering the flash chip and replacing it with a bigger one, then re-flashing the ROM.

Not something to be done by just anyone methinks!

switching roms - thats hardcore -

it seems the hackintosh people are behind most of these efforts- trying to make their usual pc hardware work -

enabling non-approved hardware would be the way to go...
