    Catalyst 3.3 to 4.x?

I recently unearthed a Catalyst rack in my warehouse that was used for a tour about 5 years ago and has sat dormant since then. It is a Motorola Power Mac running 3.3 but I would love to get it current on software and maybe gain a little more functionality. I know the license is tied somehow to an internal USB dongle and I have heard that the dongle is tied to the version that is installed.

My question is, is there a way to upgrade from 3.3 to 4.x? Is there a cost? Right now I don't have a real application for the server yet, I just want to tinker around with it. Who since HES no longer sells the system and it's so far out of date, who would I talk to about this?

Thanks in advance for any help!

  2. Hi Smokey

I can help you with the upgrade - just drop me an email off board, and we can go through the options.

Its a simple case of upgrading the dongle, which can be done with an emailed code.
