    Try 10.6 and 10.6.1. There is a quicktime bug in the 10.6.2 update. Once you try downgrading, let us know if it fixes the problem.

    Had to go all the way to 10.5.8, but that worked.

    I have Intensity cards in 2007 and 2008 macs. Not 2009. Point is that they work with 10.6 on both.
