Answer: Yes!.

before starting catalyst:
connected TH2G and set the 2nd output (exit) to 3072x768

then start catalyst:
on Output 2: set 3 x mix windows to 1024x768 and position them TH2G-Left / TH2G-Centre / TH2G-Right. (see picture)

Use Output 1 as 'normal'

Assign layers to the mixes as required - this will give you 4 seperate 1024x768 output.
