    sound and preview

    I have never used sound with cat before. Now i have to. I don´t get sound out of the computer. My dongle is on tour right now so i´m just sitting at the office on another mac. Is it because the missing dongle that i don´t have sound??

    Another thing and that is mabye also related to the missing dongle is that i don´t have any video output on the screens until i go fullscreen..

    In v4 - you don't get video on the smaller 'output1 & poutput2' windows like you used t in v3. You have to go in to full screen mode (press A or D) to see video: either via a mix window - or 'mix all layer with fx' for full screen.

    For audio - ensure that the sound options are correct for your situation in system preferences. ie output = line out (for example)
    For catalyst to play sound, you must use playmode 70 or 71: playaudio once, or playaudio loop, rather than the other playmodes for video only.

    Neither of these functions should be affected by not having a dongle.
