    Quicktime 7.6

    Just upgraded to 10.4.11.
    Quicktime 7.1.3 currently installed.
    Should I upgrade to 7.6?
I've read some issues about 7.4 in another thread...

7.6 has only just come out, I would wait a bit. Apple have a habit of breaking things with new releases of QT

the probability of something broken in 7.1.3 is the same as 7.6 - so normally there is no difference in strategy between upgrading and not-

QT very rarely breaks anything- as apple has major applications that rely on it.

A bit on the Geeky side, there is a new fix in the code for 7.6 which better routes commands to the GPU using a revision to the openGL code. Technically this is only applicable to the rendering of 3D objects. It will only help with Catalyst in the most miniscule of ways but for the system, it's better overall.
