Were they all mirrored off the 1 front most layer, make a custom software for it or is it just each layer is run off of a different mix/media server?

Its a killer effect and I really think it turned out excellent! I wish I could have seen it live

its only one media server doing all the versatubes - you have to get the versatube mapping correct.
andi watson uses multiple layers to build up textures in depth.
