    Conforming frames - playback stops

    Occasionally-

we get movies that stop playing during the clip in catalyst - and then refuse to start playing again.

This seems to be down to an internal quicktime track where the overall movie rate is different from the track rate.

I just got a movie - which wouldnt play - which had the overall movie rate set to 30fps - but the video track itself set to 29.97
Sometimes this happens in compressor- by accident or other post production programs.

This leads to quite a bit of quicktime confusion.
Apple seems to have fudged the issue and is forcing Quicktime player to do the right thing- movie player doesnt show that the track timescale is different!

Its seems this conforming problem can be fixed by using Cinema Tools which ships with Final Cut Studio-

The conform option in Cinema Tools seems to set the frame rate to do the right thing.

Cinema tools also seems to have a batch mode which might do this on multiple files.
