    Resolution vs. Performance

    Does a high resolution decrease performance. With high resolution i mean 1024X768 as supposed to 720X576.

    you mean the resolution the graphics card runs at?

    i run at 1280x1024 the whole time.

    but for outputting at ntsc or pal resolution -- there is no advantage to running at 1024x768.

    you should run at lower resolutions if you can.
    there is no extra information in the image to be had.
    you dont gain anything by scaling everything up to 1024x768, because the output device, just scales it back down again!

    so if you can output to your scan convertor at 800x600 or 720x576 then you should
