    Best Mac for Catalyst

    Ok,

I am working on a project, that may or may not happen, but need to have a plan.

What would be the best setup for the following.

I have a big screen that uses 4 projectors to blend them together
4 other screens that I will need to be able to put different stuff on all of them.

I would like to control it without a console. Would I be able to have a separate monitor with the catalyst controls on it?

I will also need at least 4 video ins, but the more the better.

Could be running up to 10 layers, but most likely only 5 or 6 at once.

I basically am trying to replace an old Screen Pro plus that is only used to control the screens. It gets all video signals from another switcher, but looks horrible, and cant keep up with fast graphics on the blended screen. It also can't fade the other 4 screens, hard cuts only. The Catalyst would allow me to do so much more, that is why I want it.

    Thanks for your help.

well 4 screens mean two catalyst to make it simple .

Yes you can use 2 dual head 2go from matrox , but you will loose all the control of the projectors .

It all depend of the projectors you want to use and how you want to use it .
