    i used a sata power and data cable extender.

    it needs to have male sata on one end female the other end.

    i made one up from other cables.

    i have a 2.5" SSD Sata drive - the same as laptop drives- the sata connections are the same - the physical size of drive might fit with a chassis adaptor. i dont have one.

    it was more money for 3.5inch version.

    pricing seems to have changed- 2.5 and 3.5 inch drives now same price.

    What about an external sata connection to an express card for the macbook pro? Will this be able to stream more than 8 dv?

    macbook limit is cpu computer performance- not disc.
