Files which stop playing randomly

Seems to be caused by a 'timecode' track added to the movie file.

Not sure which application is doing this yet...

It seems that the timecode track - added by some applications stops my software from playing the movie.
This seems to be a 'recent feature' added to quicktime - i only recently started having this reported-

You can turn off this track in the Quicktime player Application
