DMX 1-1 Preset trigger offset?

I am using a peperoni DMX adapter with Catalyst in one2one trigger mode to trigger presets from a strand 520, however for some reason all the presets are offset by a DMX value of 4, so for instance, to trigger preset 1 i have to call DMX Value 5, i am assuming this is not by design as it makes things overly complicated to program and confused the hell out of me for the first half an hour when nothing was working!

that is how it is supposed to work.

there has to be gap at the bottom in case there is fader noise -

preset 1 is real dmx value 6-

checked the code. dmx preset 1 is dmx value 5.
