both ways have problems.

showing layers in non-full screen has performance issues especially on older machines because the mac desktop can then do stuff.
you dont want this is shows. and the best way to prevent this is to not allow it to happen.
you really really dont want mac windows redrawing themselves in the middle of shows - believe me - you dont.

I would also really like to be able to view the cuelist in the HUD, would be very useful when you need to watch each layer during a cue sequence when your trying to work out why something isn't working, or when your trying to deciper someone elses show!!

using the web server is the best way to get around this I have found.
