    New Machine

Hi... we're getting a new Mac Pro to run our CAT V4.

In the configuration options at the mac store, they have various options for the graphics card. the standard Nvidia GeForce 7300GT, an ATI Radeon X1900 XT and a Nvidia Quadro FX 4500.

The Nvidia Quadro FX is way too expensive, but we were thinking of getting the ATI Radeon X1900....

Is is worth the extra $250 in terms of performance for Cat V4???

We have the ATI X1900 in our systems here, we belive is worth, specialy because is 512 Mb instead of 256. Richard will answer you mote technically for shure.

i test the minimal config. as thats the safest thing for me.

the 7300 works fine most of the time.
    cant recommend anything specific

ATI 1900 will not give you more then 6 800x600 using two triple head 2 go , witch is sucks for me
    .
Using ATI radeon 1900 xt , you can get max movie size of 4096x2048 .

    I don't think it's possible on the 7300 ( just 256 vram )

I have no idea a out the Nvidia Quadro FX ... personally I'll not spend that money . infact I didn't

What HDD ? Scsi or Sata Raptor ?

Also if Scsi , where to buy the mount kit for a Scsi Disk inside a Mac Pro ?

I've asked to projectedimage but i think they do not have an answer yet for me .

So question is , what kind of HDD do you suggest to be mount and HOW ?

If you are going to use a SCSI in the MacPro, HES still has SCSI bracket kits. Part Number: 99263114 They are somewhere around $9.
