    Message for Richard

    Hi Richard,

Still not having much luck in getting this to work. I have again re-installed the drivers you sent after deleting those incorrectly installed. Do you know what files should be installed by your drivers?

    Thanks

    More Info

    Richard,

I suspect I may have some hardware issues here. I have just downloaded security spy sw from active silicon and that does not recognise the card at all. Unfortunately I have had to re-install their drivers but I will be able to uninstall them.

What does work is the canopus ADVC110 unit with both Catalyst and Security Spy software. I will try reconfiguring the bus and see if that helps, otherwise I will talk to AS tomorrow.

    Any thoughts?

for security spy to work - as you are using an intel machine - you need the universal beta version of the Active silicon drivers for quicktime.

you initially installed the ppc only version of these drivers.

    This is version 1.5

You needed v1.6 universal for this to work - do you have this?

    Richard,

I do not have v.6 drivers. Do you know where I can get them from?

    thanks

you need to get them from active silicon.

i do not know what active silicon ship with their cards - but i would expect if you had indicated that you were using a intel mac- they should have given you access to drivers that worked with intel.
    but i dont not know.

suggest you call them on monday and ask for intel vdig ( quicktime video digitising )compatible drivers for use with testing with security spy.

  7. Hi Richard i have as-lfg_vdig-1.6beta2.dmg
I checked to attach the file unsuccesfully.
    I sent you by e_mail.
    Bye

you need to check with active silicon - always on the latest versions, as these posts can be read well into the future when any version mentioned here - is way out of date.

please try not to mention any specific versions, or post links to them.

    Hey Richard,

I am currently running a Catalyst v3.3 system on a Dual 2GHz G5 with 1Gig of RAM and Mac OS X.

Do you know if this system is suitable and capable of running a PCI-E LFG4 and displaying all four inputs simultaeneously??
