    Next-

you might need to run an application-

    System->Library->CoreServices->Expansion SlotUtility

Select a different configuration in this from the current one - this is an active silicon issue...'
certain computers have intermittent recognition of cards...
    reboot computer.

you installed several times the LFG Vdig driver - but an old version that doesnt work with intel macs. LFG VDig1.5 does not work with intel....
you should not install the LFG Vdig driver at all.

Only the software that i told you to.

    Drivers

    Richard,

I have removed the incorrect drivers and run those you provided without success. How do I remove your drivers and then I can remove the card etc and start again. I have also used the system utility as requested and this also does not help

    Thanks

    Ian

try removing card and putting it back in.

your card gave an error message - i have sent an email to active silicon asking what the error means.

    Video Card

    Hi Richard,

Thanks for the update. I have now tried the following

    1. remove incorrect drivers and re-install those provided by yourself.
    2. remove the card and reinstalled.
    3. alternative settings for the bus.
    4. remove the additional graphics card and the internal usb card.
    5. try all three spare slots.
    6. try the above with both 97 and 111 versions. What I have noted is that even if I re-install 97, the first of the four video screens is titled "DV Video - ADVC-110" which I suspect is remaining from my tesp with the Canopus unit.
    7. A Canopus ADVC110 unit works with both 97 and 110.

Any further idea's other than the issue with AS card. I have attached the latest PDF.

    Thanks

    i have no idea.

quite a few people have got it working even last week.
noone in the last few weeks has reported anything like this.

    ---

Im awaiting a reply from Active silicon about error message.
the card driver reports an error message in the log

LFG 1 Error LFG_DRV_Open status 1f030002 - message Open call to CDA library failed***
I dont expect a reply before monday.

As a last resort you might like to try installing all the updates that apple made last week.

    Drivers

    Richard,

Thanks again, I have installed the apple files without success. I have also re-installed all the Catalyst sw along with the drivers for the card, again without succes.

I have noticed that there appear to be two versions of the card driver, 2.0 and 2-1.0, I have installed the latest.

Looks like the answer ies with AS, possibly a faulty card???

Thanks and have a good weekend.

    Ian
