Lion and 4.2 m257 and Macbook Pro... fail

Hi

I'm sure its probably me but I can't get Catalyst to run on my MAcbook since I upgraded to Lion.

Its a non dongle copy which I use for setting up pixel maps and stuff.

It seems to be failing when it tries to open openGL.

i think this one is a trivial crash- one i fixed a long while ago-

but there are lots and lots of other things lurking- potentially-

noone should be updating a working machine to lion- there is no reason to- there are no new features that are off any use to anyone - except a whole heap of broken and removed stuff -

even basic stuff on apples side is quite broken-

i mean they broke keynote- their own application-
i tried to use it recently- just sat their spinning beach balls.
half-baked auto save functionality that simply does not work with large files
its a big design flaw with something like keynote
4GB file with embedded movies - now a flat file instead of a bundle

they broke or changed lots of stuff that simply did not need to be broken

The same problem occurs with build m329.

I'm rolling back to 10.6 today now I'm home...

Can't believe I fell for apples hype and upgraded.... ah well.

the crash you see is a trivial crash with opengl - nothing serious -

but there are other things lurking in all sorts of drivers they changed

noone should be updating a running catalyst machine

there is nothing in lion thats of any interest to catalyst users -
