Guys,i'm problem during installation on new hard driver.
I use normal procedure but after start installation show this:
There were errors during installation please try again.
i check with 2 different hard drive and i have same problem
and take out all card (scsi card;usb2 card with dongle;black magic card)
tested with original OSx from hes and new tiger 10.4.6.
Mac is 2.7 Ghertz dual cpu with ati radeon 9800 only.
something to help me???
Are you talking about the installation of the software? The Operating system? What kind of errors are you recieving?
Whatever was wrong, did it work correctly when you went back to the original OS?

It may be that you might have corrupted Tiger disk...
Try this - get the system disk that you wish to install tiger on. Install it into another Mac. Erase the hard disk, and install Tiger as usual. Repair disk preferences. Update to 10.4.6.
Reboot.
Shutdown and remove the drive. Install it in your 2.7Ghz.
It is always worth having a Firewire disk with two bootable partitions on it: one for 10.3.x systems with a ready to go OS version with everything setup, and one with 10.4.6 on it.
Here's how it works:
Boot from your firewire disk, by powering up the recalcicrant Mac whilst holding the Option key. Select the appropriate disk partition on your firewire disk. Use disk utility to erase the dodgy system disk.
You can then use Carbon copy cloner or Super Duper

to copy your disk partition onto the system disk.
Change the Start up disk in system preferences and off you go.
It is always worth repairing your disk permissions before doing a OS Update. Disk permissions can get messed around by dodgy applications, installers and drivers. Boot from your Mac OS disks and use Disk Utility to sort them out.

I have tryed to format disk after boot from cd-rom.
permiss ok
new partition ok
repair disk ---> no part do be repaired is the message
this was new disk,but not is possible to install... :mad:
The hold disk crashed during internet upgrade software and is not
possible to repaire from boot cd-rom with os. :mad:
Two different hard drive but the problem is the same..... :confused:
There is something not working in the my MAC?????in order to upgrade,
or is both hard drive????? very strange.... :eek:
You know hugh,this is the first time for me to have big problem to manipolate
computer :p
I will try to install OS on hard drive in other computer.
Anyway,in the next monday i will have important demo in MILANO
with new catalyst server reiceved today...
with POWER MAC G5 4x2.5 Ghertz cpu's....sound good :D
The next i will post in the forum solution my problem(i hope) :rolleyes: .

any way I suggest you to do not install the complete language package , use italian only it will use less HD space and I think it will speed up Spot Light indexing .
About Spot light : you may found the new OS get slower in the first days , that's normal. I suggest you to keep your G5 on all night , the next day it will be faster .

I don't know what's appening but during 10.4.6 applycations upgrade from internet my mac was crashed.and not boot OS.
I checked with 3 different OS disk installation and don't was possible to repair,
Fixed my problem.
Installation succesfully,must be change RAM MEMORY STICK.
Very strange but this is the solution for my problem.
