Play Modes

Hi,

Im running a show with several sections of looped content which all work well. One of the sections I just play from In frame to out frame using play once forward.

The issue I have is that with both of those when recalled from a preset they have continued to loop or reached the out frame even when not loaded into any layers.

I always reset layers to black and other defaults when programming.

This is not so much of an issue for the loops but when the play once fades in and its reached the out frame already thats not great.

I assumed by setting layers to stop as part of my 'start again' programming state this would mean loops and content would reset to in frames when loaded.

Am I missing something obvious?

are you using:
2: PLOnceFW
or
12: PLOnceFW Intensity>0

try either 12 or 13

Doesn't work with a inframe set at other than 0. As the name suggests I suppose.

it should
first step: program the inframe at a certain value = preset 1
next step should indicate you need playmode 12 with intensity at 0 = preset 2
next step intensity at full = preset 3

there is a bug with inframe... it needs fixing...

workaround is to ensure that the previous cue resets the file and playmode

ie - previous cue:
set the layer to black lib 0 file 0 with playmode at inframe

then - next cue:
run your cue with the correct lib & file with the inframe set to the desired value and playmode (12)

Basically - there has to be a change in value for this to work...

(would be nice if it gets fixed at some point... its VERY annoying!!!)

wow... Im not crazy... I have noticed this behavior as well... guess it wasnt just me. I use this frequently and would love to see it work as expected myself.
