Crashed when quitting after adding quicktime players to device list.

I am on an pretty new iMAC intel
running latest QT and latest OS intel
Adding devices to device list works fine but when I add a quicktime device to the list sam crashes when quitting the application and does not save the quicktime devices to the list.
What do you think it is?

you can add one QT player but 2 or more the app will crash on quitting.
