Catalyst 4.05 m50 UB FC3 - Upgraded features

Catalyst 4.05 m50

Upgraded feature set

Pro 12 Layers, 5 sub-mixes, 10 universes of DMX
DV 8 layers 4 sub-mixes, 4 universes of DMX
Express 4 layers, 2 sub-mixes 4 universe of DMX

All versions have Upgradeable DMX to 50 universes.

10.3.9 or later.

this is a universal binary build - ppc and intel - and will require the latest dongle driver from aladdin

Hey Richard,
Should I be able to run this without the blue bars and red flash?
My dongle is upgraded to 4.0, and runs 4.01 just fine.
Does it not recognise the dongle due to this being a beta?

in my quick testing it worked for me- what are your dongle id's and serial numbers?
email them to me

System ID is listed.
Dongle ID-No Dongle
Serial No- None
Feature Set- Catalyst Demo SAMSC Lite

and at the bottom it does say Driver needs Updating.
So I will try updating the driver,
Kinda odd that it works fine with 4.01 but not with 4.05

thanks.

the dmx artnet changes have been there for a few weeks now.

means you have much more flexibilty with the distribution and layout of artnet networking and infrastructure- important in large shows.
i just did a 50 universe show in argentina

hey Richard,
One more question/Problem with 4.05
I can't seem to get it to save my setting each time it starts up.
I am sure its something to do with my installation,
but I am not sure how to fix it.
Every time I start Catalyst I have to reenter all my Dmx addresses, and rescan my library.
How can I fix this?

this is always a file permissions issue.

where did you put the application?

the application needs permission to write files to the folder it resides in.

this is not always the case with users who dont have administrative permissions.

Hi Richard after installation 4.05
I have same problem Woodj32177 but i use 10.3.9 OS...
wich drivers i need to install????? :confused:
The Dongle is recognize with V3.31_h21_PRO and in the install register
show "feature set" Catalyst V4 PRO with dongle ok (the serial number of the
dongle is new one). :rolleyes:

Hi Richard during the startup of V4.06_m47
Show this:

Current OS version 10.3.9
Need System 10.4.5 or greater
Current Quicktime version 7.1
Need Quicktime 7.0 or greater

and the program don't start automatically

I use 10.3.9 and all applications is upgrade at last version.
Quicktime is version 7.1....
Is possible take out this message????

v4.05 trouble

I just downloaded and tried to run v4.05.
The software seems to start up fine until it begins to scan for objects and then it causes my primary monitor to go black. The only way out that I can find is to quit. Any ideas?

Hi mark ...sound like a resolution or refresh rate monitor problem.
Normally catalyst start resolution at 1024 x 768 at 75 hertz this frequence
not is good for old monitors. put this monitor like secondary (you can set different refresh time after start catalyst) and put on primary monitor new one.

Something to try:
Catalyst has a function that will make it go into full screen mode at the program startup. When at the black screen, hit the "s" key to exit full screen mode on output 1 or the "f" key to exit full screen mode on output 2. If you wish to disable this function for now, the setting is located on the Layer mix options for each output on the GUI.

scan for objects - you mean 3d objects?
