More barefeats ata drive tests

They test a variety of standard drives, as a boot drive.
A boot drive does not have to have the same specs as a media drive

So, looking at the sustained read figures, if a Raptor is being used as a media drive it would appear that it is better plugged into a PCI adaptor rather than built in.

Would this be the same for a single drive?

its difficult to tell from these tests.
i saw this too.
it could be an anomaly.

there were some performance issues with the internal sata drives. but i dont know whether they affect this.
i have used scsi exlcusively for quite some time now
