Macbook Pro and Mtron SSD Performance

Has anyone been able to use an Mtron disk with a Macbook Pro?

I am considering buying Macbook Pros with the 2.4GHz Core Duo and 2Gb Memory and an external Mtron or even perhaps replacing the internal disk with an Mtron.

Has anyone done this yet?
What are your results?
Has anyone had any performance issues using the Matrox TripleHead2Go or DualHead2Go devices on their Macbook Pros?

How many layers can you run of DV NTSC?
How many layers can you run of 720p Apple Intermediate Codec?
How many layers can you run of 1080p Apple Intermediate Codec?
How many layers of PhotoJPG @50% 720p or 1080p HD?

I am specifically interested in results people have had with Mtron disks but I am eager to hear any feedback at all.
