GPU performance

What are your experiences here...

I have a 1. gen Mac Pro with an x1900 card which keeps crashing in 10.5 due to what I think are heat related issues. 10.4 are no problems whatsoever.

So I got a 8800 GT card from Apple, so I can run good in 10.5.

I haven´t tested with Catalyst yet, but the x1900 completely smokes the 8800 GT in Quartz Composer. They sort of render a bit differently on feedback things, but the FPS on the x1900 comes out way better overall.

Any thoughts out there?
