59 Productions is a design and production company based in Hoxton. Our team works on a variety of projects in various fields including Exhibition Design (including the David Bowie is exhibition at the V&A), film production, and animation and projection design for performance environments (opera, theatre and dance). 59 Productions also created the animation and projection design for the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

We are looking for an Associate Designer with strong, proven creative abilities as well as technical and organisational skills to join our expanding team.

The successful candidate would work alongside the company's directors and team of artists to assist in the development and production of a wide variety of world class artistic projects. They will also be responsible for leading the company's team in remounting existing projects around the world - often as the sole representative of the company.

Proven experience of work in the worlds of theatre, galleries, animation or film are a must, as is a strong desire to take on new challenges and acquire new skills.

The successful candidate will have at least three of the following attributes:

- At least three years' professional work in the world of design for live performance, showing excellent understanding of the process of making theatrical work.
- A portfolio of design work or showreel
- Advanced CAD skills
- Experience as a lighting programmer
- In depth knowledge of media server programming and systems, especially Catalyst.
- A high level of competency in Adobe After Effects or similar
- Excellent organisational and communication skills

The successful candidate is likely to have a background or training in video design, set design, lighting design or architecture.
