TH2G or not to go?

I have a customer that wants to know if it would be better to run 3 outputs on the latest and greatest MacPro using (1) Video Card and a TH2G OR would it be better to run the 3 outputs using (2) Video cards?

you cant use two video cards. they cant talk to each other.

They're great for 1024X768 @ 75hz, but only support 1280X1024 at 60hz, which is good for some things and bad for others. 1280X1024 is also your max resolution, and with many new projectors being 1400X1050 native you lose out a little. Two cards will give you more options but limited what else you can put in your lovely new MacPro!

but what do you want to do with 4x 1400x1050? then you also need fibre optic and xserve raids to get the content. and also this is limited at the best until 400 MB/s.

it makes no sense to give out, what you couldn't get in. or do you want to show only images?

i had run and it works fine without any trouble on two 1080p out (like 23" cinema display) or two 1600x1200 (on christie roadstar) with mixshapping/edge blending. so the resolution which catalyst can is much higher. it is limited with the hardware.

some people just need more outputs to more projectors/devices, they dont necessarily need any higher resolutions or visual resolution.
