New MacPro G3 with Phoenix and HD 4870

Yes! I said Mac Pro G3 as in Generation 3 of Mac Pro. :cool:

I have not ordered yet but will be ordering a few more Mac Pros and I want to know if anyone else has, and if anyone else has tested with any of the four Phoenix cards.

From all the write-ups I have read on the Radeon HD 4870, I have a feeling it will outperform the X1900 and the 8800. It is even looking to be able to rival many of the things I am doing with a Quatro FX.

I would like to make this thread a feedback thread on everyone's new experience with the G3 Mac Pro.
